Cashdirectly.com Review

By CEO Mark

I was reading my emails spam session when I saw this.

Spam

there are a few reasons why I selected this topic today.

1. I haven’t been posting for some time.

2. The title of the spam email was enticing

3. Wanted to compare this website and my opportunity

4. Wanted to do a review on this “opportunity” with what I found on the web

I haven’t been posting for some time

Sorry guys, I know I have been slacking off recently. Well not exactly. Though I may not have been postin, I am happy to say that my business has been growing rapidly and through just 1 method of advertising that I use agressively. Classified Ads.

2. The title of the spam email was enticing

Alright, what do you think of this ad title? Personally, though my mentality tells me it is spam and definitely cannot be trusted, I still couldn’t resist clicking on it. (Probably because I have had some real emails in the Spam folder in my Hotmail account hahaha).

Anyway the email title makes you want to click on it because it appeals to greed and curiosity. You simply do not want to let go of the chance that maybe you did do something right and you are now getting paid for it. Funny, right?

Wanted to compare this website and my opportunity

Like I was saying above. We know it’s spam, we see it’s spam and we can probably hear spam screaming its head off but the lure of a good opportunity is simple too strong to resist.

I strongly believe that you have to work for your business to succeed even if it is only 4 hours a week. (There is such a book, I’m not making it up. If you don’t believe me, click here)

Comparing both opportunities, I am very tempted to take this spam opportunity cause it really seems too good to be true. And yes, it IS too good to be true.

Wanted to do a review on this “opportunity” with what I found on the web

I did a Google search on “Cashdirectly.com Spam” and found this website owner who actually paid the $15 and followed the steps by step instructions. It seems like to earn $15 you needed to “process” more than 50 emails which is actually placing ads on the internet. Also you only make money if someone RESPONDS to your ad. High chance of that happening right?

Alright guys, hope you like today’s post and feel free to add any comments.

 Cheers

Software

Finance / Accounting - Apparently Quickbooks is a widely voted program that seems to control a high percentage of the market

E-Commerce

Specialized Search Engine - Like.com wins this new category with its formidable formula - combining visual search with celebrity fashion

Google Page Rank doesn’t matter!

By CEO Mark

Hi guys, for those who have been reading my blog, you should know that I am a Google supporter all the way. So for me to have such a title should be quite surprising, right?

Ok, here’s the story.

Recently I was reading the newspaper that is quite newly published in our country. I admit that the papers only caught my because of the front page news on a certain “frivolous” blogger .

This blogger writes only on her personal life, problems and her blog is totally controversial. Yet somehow, she has lots of loyal readers and is quite well known in the local blogging world.

Now you may be wondering what is so special about her blog that the news wanted to pick it up. Well, to be truthful, I read the blog and found that it really is quite nonchalant. Her topic is simply about her life. Read it for yourself here.

So, why was it such a big issue in Singapore? In Singapore we have NLB which stands for National Library Board. Recently it decided to add this blogger to their List of Blogs for archival. Imagine a blogger who does nothing but talk about his or her life can get listed in a national website. Interesting, isn’t it.

Many other bloggers were of course unhappy about it. They felt that the list should have blogs which are more meaningful and more worthy rather that just based on fame alone. Well, after all the missiles thrown here and there, you can be sure this blog’s viewers has increased greatly.

Personally, I do not have a opinion on whether her blog should or should not be added. After all, this is the decision of our NLB. I’m sure that they must have considered some time before choosing her.

So, back to my title. Does Page Rank matter in this case? Definitely not. She is a local blogger who has local fans and is now featured in local news. She has all the free exposure that a blogger could ask for. Media.

So, after blogging about her in this post, she has added another backlink to her site for free. Internet marketing is essential but if you have media exposure, it saves you tons of work, don’t you agree?

Let me know your comments on this post. Cheers

Shhhhhhhh, it’s a secret.

By CEO Mark

Hi guys, recently I was just walking around my neighbourhood and found a leaflet stuck to a lamp-post. It was advertising a home business and being the natural “curious” guy that I am, I took down the website and went on my way.

A few days later, I was at work collecting some papers from the fax machine when I noticed a piece of fax stating to coach a person step by step how to do a home business. Again, I got down the website and carried on my work.

Then just yesterday I was surfing online and happened to come across a classified ad (I was posting mine too) that again advertised a home business. Yup, you can guess my next action right?

Today I had some time and took out all three of the website addresses. Slowly I surfed the 1st website. It went like a step by step process, requiring you to click “Next”. The Read the rest of this entry »

Mobile Marketing - Beep! You Have A Message

By CEO Mark

Hi guys, how was your holidays? Hope it was fun, exciting and just darn good. I really needed a break from my usual work so I can say that the rest was essential for me to start the new year with a new perspective.

Throughout my last few days, my friends have been sending short messages to me wishing me to have a good year ahead. Want to a take a few seconds here just to thank them for always being on my side whenever I needed a hand. “Thanks Guys!!!”

We are living in a changing world, a fast-paced evolving world. There was an article I read once and I would like to share it with you guys.

The main gist of the story went like this. In the times of cavemen, they took thousands of years to discover fire. As they evolved, they invented tools to build cities within hundreds of years. Then throughout time, people like Thomas Edison who invented the light bulb appeared in years. As you can see, great things are being invented within shorter spans of time.

Let  me ask you, when was the last time you listened to an old fashion record? Now it is the newest and trendiest that attracts us, don’t you agree? We want it useful, fast and effective.

This leads us to the topic of the day, Mobile Marketing. It is relatively new in the world of marketing. After all, short message service itself is not old. It has only been around for less than a decade.

Any internet marketer would agree with me, new ways of marketing are springing up every other day. Invent a new service and we can find a way to do marketing with it. There is no escaping from marketing because even the clothes you wear are being used to advertise.

Mobile marketing may be new but the concept used is definitely not. The basics are like any other forms. You join a freee service, you get to use their service and in return you are obligated to receive advertisements from their advertisers.

How effective is it? At this point in time it is still difficult to come to a conclusion as there are factors listed below to consider.

1. Which country shows more results - Note that not all countries are into short messages services

2. Are the customers willing? - I mean “willing ” in the sense of whether they truly want to know about new products and service

3. Are customers targeted? - Lets face it, if I am movie buff and I get a message about free tickets I would be thrilled but what if it was about a free facial?

4. Is it money well spent? - What is the current percentage of consumers actually making an effort to read the message as well as make a trip to buy the product?

There could be other factors which may deter many advertisers but in conclusion I would just like to say that mobile marketing is here to stay and you can’t get rid of it.

Hope you enjoyed this year’s very 1st post from me. I would really appreciate it if you could add some comments too. Let me know if you like reading my thoughts and whether it is useful to you.

Work At Homes - Real or Scam

By CEO Mark

Hi guys, I am suddenly “inspired” to post on this topic because I was just reading my emails a few minutes ago. It was about working at home as a data entry clerk. The website claims that you can earn USD$3,000 a month just by filling up data entry forms for big foreign companies. (Note that real big names were claimed in the website)

Anyway since I am always on the lookout for new opportunities for my friends and family, I decided to take a peek. These are their facts/claims :

1. Website professionally designed (Duhhhh, of course…)

2. Attractive amount to be earned (When you’re poor, well…..)

3. Only need 45 minutes a day (Seems fantastic…)

4. Simple step by step instructions ensuring your success (How could I fail….)

5. Testimonials to back up their claims (Doesn’t seem like mannequins to me)

So what do you think? Real or Scam? I guess most of us Singaporeans would definitely say that it is a scam, not because we have tried it but because we are conservative. Any opportunity that seems too good to be true is usually too good to be true., isn’t that our way of life?Haha.

That aside, I believe that no matter how conservative we are, some of us would have tried it. This is because most of us NEED a side income and we are willing to take the risks Read the rest of this entry »

Emotions - Build You Or Break You

By CEO Mark

Hi guys, this period must have been the longest time of absence for me. I’ve been trying to cope with some emotional problems on my side and really did not have the strength to post.

As you can see from the title, emotions can build or break you. They can be your driving force or cause you to have a collusion in any areas of your life. After all, we all have different and complex emotions.

Can I lay a theory on you guys? I was just chatting with my friends at a local cafe when I introduced to them this concept. I belive that 99% of anything in this world can be explained using logic, only the remaining 1% refers to emotions which cause people to “move”.

If you’ve seen my piece on Core Desire, I really hope you could take a peek. Jack Zufelt’s main focus on a human’s driving force is the unexplainable emotions. He can teach you to reach it but he cannot explain it.

Emotions is not measurable. You cannot measure it on a scale of 1-10 or build graphs on it yet it is the force that develops the person within.

Some of you guys may be wondering why I am including this in my blog for internet marketing. This is because I belive a blog should be personal no matter what is the main course. Consider this post as a side dish.

Blogging about personal stuff increases your readers. Why? Simply because your readers “feel” you. The better you are able to put it in words, the more your readers are able to know you. It is funny, but when readers are reading a post they can actually feel if the writer is being sincere. Again emotions rule.

Hope I didn’t bore you guys out there with this post.

Cheers

Profiting from an unfamiliar niche

By CEO Mark

Hi guys, this is a post outside my step-by-step. I would like you guys who have been reading my post to read one of my friend’s. It is about profiting from a niche where you absolutely know nothing about.

Lynn has pointed out that to make money online you DO NOT have to follow your hobbies or interests. (Please do note that in my step-by-step, I chose to use it because I did not want to confuse you as you might be too new or inexperienced)

Anyway, I commented on her blog that I would blog about it so I really hope you guys go take a look at it. Here’s the link
